Argyle Design was started as a reaction to the ‘throw it over the wall’ attitude that was so prevalent in design and engineering in the early 1980’s. In those days an Industrial Designer would get direction from a marketing person. In turn the ID person would give the Mechanical Engineer pretty drawings. The Mechanical Engineer would then give the documentation package to a Manufacturing Engineer who would get the ‘thing’ made. But no one ever seemed to talk to one another, and this resulted in a whole lot of confusion, extra cost, and no-so-great products.

Argyle Design was founded with a specific charter to provide the highest quality look, feel, and function in the design and development of products through a synthesis of Research, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, and Manufacturing expertise. Our goal is to deliver a combination of these attributes in an efficient, structured framework for our clients.
